DirectPass provides a safe means of storing passwords and an efficient means of signing into websites. You can safely store all your website passwords and login IDs in a central location – and from that central location you can easily access websites and log into your accounts. On top of that, DirectPass can generate secure passwords, can automatically fill in forms, can automatically sync login info across devices, and more.

The recommended system requirements for running DirectPass on a PC are: 1GHz processor or better, 1GB of RAM memory or more, 200MB of free disk space, Windows operating system (Windows XP SP2 or higher, Windows Vista SP2 or higher, Windows 7, Windows 8).

When you launch DirectPass for the first time, it will ask you to create a Master Password. This is the password that will prevent others from accessing DirectPass and the info stored by DirectPass. Please note that if you forget your Master Password, you will lose your DirectPass data. So make sure to pick something that is not easy to forget but at the same time something that is not difficult to remember.

There are 4 buttons on the left hand side of the application’s interface:
Passwords – after importing passwords from your browsers, the application displays them here. It also allows you to edit the passwords and open the websites attached to those passwords.
Profile – create a profile so it is easier to fill out web forms.
Notes – create secure notes, write down anything you want in them.
Settings – access various options that allow you to customize this application’s behavior.

DirectPass also integrates with your web browser. It integrates with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Mozilla’s Firefox, and Google’s Chrome. By integrating with the browser, the application allows you to easily log into online accounts, fill in online forms, generate secure passwords, and more.

If you have any problems figuring out what DirectPass does, click on the Support button from the upper right hand corner of the interface or click on the question mark icon and then on Online Help. Helpful documentation and video tutorials are available so that you can learn how to use DirectPass.

DirectPass provides a safe means of securing passwords and a quite efficient means of accessing websites. It is a properly good password management tool.

Pros

The system requirements for running DirectPass on a PC aren’t that high. Access to the application is password protected. The interface is quite user friendly. DirectPass integrates with Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. With DirectPass you can import passwords, safely store passwords, generate strong passwords, create and manage notes, create a profile to easily fill in online forms, automatically sync login info across devices, securely browse the web when doing some online banking. Helpful documentation and video tutorials are available online.

Cons

You can only manage up to 5 passwords for free. To manage more passwords you will need to get a license.
